That's the end (sort of) of that then.

So I learned something today that is disappointing in a way. RetroManCave tweeted the following: A #ZXSpectrumNext portable prototype as demonstrated by @JimBagley69 - The Next team are doing some great things and were thoroughly welcoming to chat to at #PLAYexpoBlackpool pic.twitter.com/FpXuYpjS28 — Retro Man Cave (@TheRetroManCave) October 28, 2018 A handheld ZX Spectrum Next. And they already have a working prototype. Well, that puts paid to any notions that the Porta will be any kind of commercial venture for the masses. The ZX Spectrum Next, as unattainable as it is due to being a fauxstarter (a kickstarter that while genuine, does not actually kickstart anything), is an impressive machine, and far out-specs anything I would have made. As such, as of now the Porta project is a personal project. If someone actually wants one when it's finished, then I might make another one. But I'm certainly not going to put top priority effort into it when a superior product...
